Voice Work- the voice is our first, most primal instrument, the means by which we express our unique resonance in the world. Our words and sounds shape our reality, so as we work with the voice, we transform our world. We become alchemists of sound, as our songs transform and transmute our daily experience, drawing out the gold within.
Chanting
involves the repetition of songs and
mantras which invoke and connect us with spiritual energies. The repetition brings the mind into a meditative or trance
state which enables deep healing to take place. Emotions can be safely
and joyfully released giving space for a deeper sense of peace to
emerge. Many people who believe they cannot sing find that chanting
liberates their voice as they discover their inner song.
When we chant, our psychic being, which is the representative of the soul, is fed. A mother feeds her child whenever the child is hungry. Similarly, we have to feed the soul, the divine child within us, by chanting or meditating. When the soul is constantly fed, it comes to the fore and the soul-bird gets the opportunity to fly in the sky of Infinity and Eternity - Sri Chimnoy
